2006 HRG Official Supplemental Rules and Regualtions

Here are the [FINAL] OFFICIAL RULES and REGULATIONS for the:

2006 HRG Series Supplemental Rules and Regulations (MS Word format)

2006 HRG Series Supplemental Rules and Regulations (Adobe pdf format)

Look Out! These rules are NOW IN EFFECT AND WILL BE ENFORCED for the 2006 SEASON !!

We listened to the drivers and made the changes you asked for. We altered the brake system rules. We eliminated the working charging system requirement.

All in all, I think this is the best set of rules HRG (in its various forms) has ever had. It aims to be inclusive, not exclusive. However, with this much effort in creating a rule set, believe that there will be a brand new vigor in making these rules the law -- not in an effort to send cars home, but with the intention of keeping the cars prepared within the limits of their run groups.

Enjoy!

I see it says "Period and model-correct block and/or crankshaft swaps are permitted" does this imply non-period heads are allowed?

Nope!

It means you can run a 2.8 280Z block and a diesel crank in a Fairlady Z. It doesn't "imply" that you can put a 4-valve dual cam aluminum titanium anything on a block just because the head bolts line up.

The point was to allow the rules creep that has already transpired ... not to provide yet another unenforced loophole to create a mutant that never existed.
